Charter buses drop off on Laguna St at the front of the Mission; the on-site lot has limited space for oversized vehicles, so buses often stage on nearby streets or return for pickup.

Santa Barbara Zoo
The Santa Barbara Zoo sits on 30 acres overlooking the Pacific, home to 393 animals representing 109 species — and one of the most popular field trip destinations on the Central Coast. Bus parking is in the main lot off Niños Dr; drop-off is at the main entrance, though RVs are not permitted in the zoo's own parking lot. Groups of 20 or more qualify for group admission rates — arrange in advance through the zoo's group sales page.
The zoo is open daily; summer weekends fill the main lot early, so coordinate your arrival time with the bus booking. Walking distance to East Beach and Cabrillo Blvd.
Stearns Wharf & the Santa Barbara Waterfront
Stearns Wharf (217 Stearns Wharf, Santa Barbara, CA 93101), completed in 1872, extends into the harbor at the foot of State Street and remains Santa Barbara's most visited landmark. The wharf itself is vehicle-access only for deliveries; charter buses drop off at the foot of State Street at Cabrillo Blvd and stage in the East Beach parking corridor along Cabrillo Blvd between runs. The Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History's Sea Center is located at the end of the wharf.
Metered parking along Cabrillo Blvd is actively enforced — buses use commercial vehicle zones and do not idle beyond the active loading period. East Beach, Chase Palm Park, and the harbor are all within easy walking distance of the drop-off point.
Santa Ynez Valley Wine Country
The Santa Ynez Valley — roughly 35 to 45 minutes north of Santa Barbara via CA-154 or US-101 to CA-246 — is one of California's premier wine regions, made famous by the film Sideways. Key wineries include Firestone Vineyard, Fess Parker Winery, Gainey Vineyard, and Sunstone Winery. Most wineries have ample bus parking in gravel lots — advance notice is appreciated.
CA-154 over the San Marcos Pass has grades and curves; a minibus or sprinter van navigates winery access roads more comfortably than a full-size coach. The charming Danish village of Solvang is a popular add-on stop along CA-246.
The Funk Zone
The Funk Zone — centered on the Yanonali St and Ortega St corridor near State St, Santa Barbara, CA 93101 — is Santa Barbara's arts, wine, and craft brewery district, walking distance from the Amtrak station and Stearns Wharf. Popular stops include Municipal Winemakers, Riverbench Winery Santa Barbara, and the Lama Dog Tap Room. Streets in the Funk Zone are narrow — a minibus navigates the drop-off more cleanly than a full-size 56-passenger coach.
Bus drop-off is on Yanonali St or Ortega St; staging along Chapala St near the Santa Barbara Amtrak Station (209 State St) works well for groups that want a central hold point. The Pacific Surfliner stops here, making it a natural transit-integration point for groups arriving by rail.
